merc, you know how much I love that word, 'awe'... it is impossible to translate it, I think. maybe the 'numinous' of Rudolf Otto would be close, but that is hardly a translation.
Numinous is a good translation, heh, I have a poem titled Numinous...nous can equal spirit and intuition. The Numen is God. In Maori = Hau, sacred breath of life.
