  19. ffflaneur, dear ffflaneur, first a big smile, something like this :-):-):-) and then a small confession that I make only reluctantly, I have missed blogging more than I've wanted to confess to myself :-)

and I feared this question! :-) now I have to make another - this time not so small - confession (are you reading this fff): maybe the snow hasn't come, it was just me who was in an urging mood of posting so I had to invent my snow. and use one of the pictures of last winter. would this be a terrible crime? :-) after all, as somebody very dear to me put it once, 'snow is involved with time, with the past. It never snows now. The snow is always falling years ago'.

  22. sz, thank you!!! I am glad you like the image, I hoped for it to be "haunting" :-)

  23. hi derek, sick, in what way? :-)

    ReplyDelete
  24. No crime at all!

These lines, for you, for memory:

    "Schneefall, dichter und dichter,
    taubenfarben, wie gestern,
Schneefall, als schliefst du auch jetzt noch."

  25. And "this silence" is still in your words and images.

  26. ITS BACK!!!

and what a dramatic way to make an entry...a black dog on white snow, against a dark sky...

surely you are not one for unobstrusive returns. haja

    the wait was worth it

  28. James, this morning when I woke up everything was white. and I trembled, oh my snow. but then it turned to be an illusion, only frost, as thick as snow. probably because it was the coldest night of this winter, as they said. I didn't know whether to be charmed or saddened by this.

  29. anon, I guess silence will always be there, a kind of.

  30. dear dear zuma, you are back :-)
    I am so happy!!!

what can I say, some people do think I have a penchant for drama, but I don't know about 'unobstrusive returns', in real life I am the kind that wants to come in by the back door and remain in the dark :-)

  31. Neil, thank you :-)
