Strong image. I've been browsing through the history of your blog -- you make wonderful art. Your images are strong and beautiful. They tell such stories - very powerful:) Happy New Year.
sorlil, see how easy romanian is :-) thank you for the lovely words you have always found for me. when you talked about 'suffering withdrawals' from my photos, I knew I couldn't keep silent longer :-)
belle source, je te remercie de ta gentillesse! moi aussi je te souhaite tout le bonheur et toute la beaute du monde pour l'annee qui vient de commencer.
ffflaneur, dear ffflaneur, first a big smile, something like this :-):-):-) and then a small confession that I make only reluctantly, I have missed blogging more than I've wanted to confess to myself :-)
and I feared this question! :-) now I have to make another - this time not so small - confession (are you reading this fff): maybe the snow hasn't come, it was just me who was in an urging mood of posting so I had to invent my snow. and use one of the pictures of last winter. would this be a terrible crime? :-) after all, as somebody very dear to me put it once, 'snow is involved with time, with the past. It never snows now. The snow is always falling years ago'.
James, this morning when I woke up everything was white. and I trembled, oh my snow. but then it turned to be an illusion, only frost, as thick as snow. probably because it was the coldest night of this winter, as they said. I didn't know whether to be charmed or saddened by this.
what can I say, some people do think I have a penchant for drama, but I don't know about 'unobstrusive returns', in real life I am the kind that wants to come in by the back door and remain in the dark :-)

sz, thank you!!! I am glad you like the image, I hoped for it to be "haunting" :-)
ReplyDeletehi derek, sick, in what way? :-)
ReplyDeleteNo crime at all!
ReplyDeleteThese lines, for you, for memory:
"Schneefall, dichter und dichter,
taubenfarben, wie gestern,
Schneefall, als schliefst du auch jetzt noch."
And "this silence" is still in your words and images.
ReplyDeleteITS BACK!!!
ReplyDeleteand what a dramatic way to make an entry...a black dog on white snow, against a dark sky...
surely you are not one for unobstrusive returns. haja
the wait was worth it
Welcome back, Roxana. Look how many people missed you!
