  1. hi my beautiful friend, gorgeous photo isnt she wonderful. I was soooo quick to allow my day to dominate my feelings that I did not really pay attention to what the photo was about in my last comment and I almost deleted my comment but here is a chance to redeem myself.haha.

ah she is beautiful and she leads me to consider that she knows how to play with all light and she is proud of it.
yes she is a magician of light!ofcourse a princess of dreams must be that also.

thankyou for this wonderful portrait. HUGs to you both.

  3. Phew! But I'm sure she had wonderful adventures while she was inside the belly of the beast. So glad to see that she showed it who's boss.

  4. :-)

yes, her playful smile shows a bit of pride and self-satisfaction as well, doesn't it? after all, be it the fight with the monster-hat or the play with light, as Madeleine suggested, she deserves it after such victory! :-)

  5. A charming photo, even in the harshest of light. It has a wonderful timelessness to it. And yeah, she's rockin' that hat!

  6. There is the illusion of a black veil around her. It is as though you have to look through the net of shadows to glimpse her sweetness. It creates mystery in a way.

  8. i was afraid to look!

You may think it's an odd stance after my short dissertation on your last post, but schizophrenia is another one of those conditions that is difficult to control (plus i'm a sucker for an alliterative sly smile).

  9. You play with light, shadow, and pattern as effectively as one of my personal favorites, Man Ray.

  11. oh myth, how wonderfully you put it: It is as though you have to look through the net of shadows to glimpse her sweetness...
or it is her looking through the net of shadows to glimpse the world, wondering that the world is really like that (though luckily she has no idea yet what the world is really like)

  13. haha, Prospero, you made me so laugh here - but i somehow knew that, that you were "a sucker for an alliterative sly smile" :-)

  14. Stickup, i don't deserve at all the comparison with Man Ray, but i am delighted anyway :-) and: i would have never guessed that he would be among your favourite photographers! (maybe because your photos are so wonderfully "natural" and spontaneous, at least they feel like that, not conceptual - but i also love things which are totally different to my own sensitivity or approach, now that i come to think of it :-)
