i am discovering japanese literature and am reading Soseki. any recommendations?
i hope you are well from your 'break'. i do not know if landscapes are benign? i am reminded of plath's "grantchester meadows" and think of the lurking terror behind the beautiful narcissus.

ReplyDeleteYes, long ago we began addressing you as "sorceress", and if you see my answer to your comment about the religion piece, which did indeed come through to your intended recipient, you've also inherited the title of "Professor", so shall we now address you as Professor Sorceress ? Sort of has a nice ring to it...
In any case, your essay in images of this young demoiselle is joyful, a joy to behold, daffodils, forsythia, bright knit pinks, yound innocence; how could one not come away smiling broadly ?

This is a spectacular spread featuring beautiful moments of celebration shared by nature and child. The colors are scrumptious, the setting heavenly, the child a perfect model, her outfit so charming, the sun-lit flowers a bouquet for the imagination. Awesome.
