  2. There are painters who will change a sun into a yellow blob,
There are artists who will change yellow into flowers.
    Grinded between
    fingers hard,
    to be blown with
    lips soft.

  3. well i don't know what your soul thinks of the title... :) but the sensuality in the flower lines, and the color tender and gentle, soothes.

it almost is breathy in a sensual way.

  4. wonderful images. I also loved our other blog but couldn't find any comments box.
I've felt drawn to you because of your German poems in Robert's blog.
As I said, wonderful words and pictures.

  6. If breath had color or form, I think it might be found here, in these perfect images...

  7. ooh that first picture is just gorgeous - the yellows and the blues - wow!

  8. I like all of these, their very symboliste drift toward abstraction -- but the first, oh, this is a picture of music (how do you..?) these strong blue notes floating forward from the paler swells of yellow ... this I love

  17. Thanks Roxana... just what the doctor ordered, bright luminous light to drive away any darker shades of blue...
    :-D

  18. Peter, i see i haven't convinced you, let's see if i do better in my next post :-) (perhaps you think the Bridge is only darkness because of those glasses? just wondering :-P)

merc, "awe" seems to be for you like a diamond with endless facets, this new one "aching opaque" fascinates me :-)
    (thank you)

Robert, soft lips blowing light and flowers are born, the most touching beauty of frailty and impermanence...

    SZ, YEEES :-)

  19. mansuetude, i think my souls are still arguing over this issue :-)
isn't this one of the most beautiful things one can contemplate, light diffused in the air, that haze of grace?

Friko, thanks so much for coming by and your kind words. my other blog is an on-going project with the artist Michael Tweed, we want it to be a space of silent beauty and contemplation, that is why there is no comment option. but here on the Bridge we are quite talkative :-). i will come to visit you soon, i have been very busy recently but i hope to find some free time soon.

Manu, sometimes that is all i (we?) need - the soothing gentleness of things.

dear S., you are much too kind to me - and i love it! :-)

  20. Sorlil, so glad to hear from you! i have been wondering whether... you know, i think a lot about you and miss you terribly already :-) waiting impatiently for the big news!

oh James - do you think there might be a chance that my life long nostalgia for music has found a way to transfer into photography? i don't know what to say, "how do i..." - one of the greatest, Cartier-Bresson, used to say: "on ne prend pas la photo, c'est la photo qui nous prend"...

Tree, very happy about your visit and that you seem to have enjoyed it so much :-)

Jayne, your presence on the Bridge is always appreciated, as well as your kind words... thank you...

Prospero, what a great line, i adore the 'fey' word (which was new to me, had to look it up) - what an interesting etymology, from "doomed" to "excessively refined" (and viceversa?) - Thomas Mann would have a lot to say here, via Nietzsche...

Neil, i missed you, both here and on your Adventures... i hope everything is fine...

Allan, je te remercie de tout coeur. pour tes mots, ta comprehension et pour continuer de venir ici dans ces moments si difficiles pour toi... qui vont bientot passer, j'en suis sure!

  21. thank you, dear Loulou, i am so glad you enjoyed...

hello, Dave :-) i am happy to hear you have never doubted my "pastel tinged" worlds. thank you!

Adelino, your words are very important to me, i thank you for your deep interest in what i do - and yes, you are right, i normally go for much more "density", but sometimes i can't avoid the magic of such soft light - as you say,"depois aquilo que se pressente , mais do que se Vê"...

Owen, you are fortunate to have a doctor with so much understanding for the soulfulness of life :-)
