autumn

I cross autumn fields
 In my dew-laden robes
 On my return home.
 Flowers woefully withered,
 Evening has yet to arrive.

  1. I love this last image, though I can't say why. The moment before evening comes, between the sun's fall and the star's ascendancy.

  2. and it is not sad. and it is not death as in an ending. and I am flooded with the words I love you (I and you barely existing, not necessarily so, but such necessity for the word love). these words are water and a river springs from my mouth. do you understand? this is the world.

  3. hi beautiful Roxana. thanks for another masterpeice.-your golden signature of the interconnectivity of the lines of the universe close to our hearts.
I was by the valley this evening and it was truly a golden evening which your first post reminds me of.the sunset was a profusion of red and orange but the light filtered through the trees was absolutely golden.
sending you golden leafed kisses,( before our snowflake kisses begin haha.)
    have a golden day.

  8. Oh, that first one is gorgeous. (Does anyone agree?) Je suis bouleversé.

Maybe it's the color, that terrene ochre.

Maybe it's the bleakness (i always find cimmerian landscapes so uplifting--in an oxymoronic way).

What is it, dearest? Tell me.

i am so happy that you like that so much, i too (who have long grieved that i didn't live in the mountains, or near the sea) love these fields, there is something so appealing in their apparent monotony and starkness, but the changes each season, even each month brings are so subtle, i could spend years observing and recording them...
